Jennifer LaRusso-Leung, LMHC
Life’s transitions – like career shifts, new parenthood, identity exploration, or relationship changes – often prompt big, brave questions. I’m here to help you find the confidence and clarity within to reconnect with your authentic self and discover the answers that lead to lasting happiness.
My work is dedicated to helping individuals recognize and break free from patterns that no longer serve them and deepen meaningful connections. My evidence-based, person-centered approach has been uniquely shaped by my past experience as a career coach and admissions counselor, giving me unique insight into guiding adolescents and professionals through exciting and sometimes complex life changes.
Over time, I’ve learned that each individual’s path is unique, and the support I provide needs to be personalized and flexible. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels safe, collaborative, and real. I bring empathy, honesty, compassion, and a bit of humor into the process. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in your way, gain clarity, and take meaningful steps toward a life that truly reflects who you are.
With experience working with clients across diverse ages and backgrounds, I primarily work with adolescents and adults navigating life transitions and emotional challenges. My areas of focus include relationship concerns, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, parenting, and career-related challenges and transitions.
Complementing my clinical work is over fifteen years of experience coaching clients across a variety of professional sectors. I’ve supported those at every stage of their careers, particularly young professionals navigating growth and transition. I also have extensive experience empowering neurodiverse individuals throughout the disclosure and accommodations process.
My therapeutic approach is goal-oriented and tailored to meet each client’s individual needs, recognizing that everyone’s journey is unique. I take an integrative approach, working primarily from a person-centered foundation while incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices.
